Mount And Blade Training Peasants

The other problem with Horse Archer as a build is that it eats up an awful lot of skill points which are very convenient to have in other areas later on in the game. I love playing as a horse archer, but when you get to the endgame and most of what you're doing is sitting behind multiple lines of troops making them dance around as a coordinated murder machine, not having those leadership and trade skills and whatnot is more noticeable. When I'm focusing on a 'leader' build, I just accept that I need to dump most of my skill points into other stuff, then fight on foot with a giant fuckoff axe or polearm. The early fighting can be frustrating, but it's worth it all when you get a bigger cheaper army later on! Click to expand. To be fair endgame in M&B is bit broken. It does not matter if you are knight, huscarl, horse archer or whatever. Once you can spam knights or mamelukes you have effectively won. There is nothing in the game that can beat your party.

So I'm kinda new to mount and blade warband I've played a few games but haven't gotten to becoming a vassal in most I finally became a vassal for the Nords and got decent troops then left and took over Nelag castle (which belonged to the vagiers) and made one of my companions a lord and gave them Hanun.

  • This site lists modifications for the game Mount&Blade Warband, the original Mount&Blade, Mount&Blade 2: Bannerlord and other games by TaleWorlds Entertainment.
  • Mount and Blade: Warband is a standalone expansion pack to the action role-playing video game Mount and Blade. The game was developed by TaleWorlds and was published by Paradox Interactive for Windows.

All that is left is repetitive sieges until whole map is yours. Leader skills that buff the party are not really necessary at this point.Basically the only skills you need to conquer everything are- trainer on every companion. With 8 high level companions you can have 50 new knights every week.

Basically an I Win button.- A high INT companion or two with decent surgery, siege engineering and pathfinding. Your troops rarely die and your party moves faster than anything on map.Leader only skills like inventory management, leadership etc are quite useful.

But at end of day when power gaming there is no problem that can't be solved by throwing enough knights at it. Click to expand.I do something similar but with a bardiche or axe which have shield breaking bonus. I break the shield with one blow and then shoot them.Though the problem is at some point you realize it's just faster to kill them said bardiche than bother shooting them. With a shield ignoring weapon like morningstar you can kill so many troops in a few seconds you might not want to touch the bow even. I personally use the bow only on rough terrain where it's harder to melee from horseback.

Unless you have really good aim (can regularly headshot in FPS games) horse archery is not really the most powerful way to play Warband IMHO. I only wish I could figure out what script or trigger to tweak to get more common faction spawns in PoP.Sitting at day 90ish on a heavily tweaked game = Combat Animations Enhancement, Armor effectiveness increased, all random minor faction spawn sizes increased (bandits routinely spawn with like, 200 men. I wish the troop command system had more options, still, but even a basic skirmisher - infantry - archers - flanking heavy cav - flanking light cav/horse archers setup can do some impressive things against numerically superior foes. Cavalry I usually keep in reserve and then throw in on the flanks once the main melee has started in the middle, or I'll have them back up the infantry line when facing enemy heavy cav, to stop them from simply riding through my infantry block repeatedly. R/T Horse Archers - Silverstag has some impressive AI tweaks. Ranged units will prefer to use their ranged weapons as much as possible until they run out of ammo, for example. They also have faster and smoother weapon switching based on distance.Though yeah, Warband was hard on cav in general for MP balance, and horrible on them for AI usefulness. I did several of my tweaks to simply make cavalry worth as much on horseback as on foot. Before, it was generally more powerful to have them dismount and charge.

Mount And Blade Training Peasants

I think Horse Archers cycling between melee and archery was a sensible touch. It takes an experienced human player using a high level character to actually do serious damage from a bow on horse back. NPC horse archers also have weak stats and bows that do little damage and accuracy when shooting mounted. The AI waste lot of arrows shooting into shielded troops as it's not smart enough to flank behind shield coverage. Follow your troops around and observe - when horse archers actually kill something usually it's with a lance, sword or spear.

Unless fighting peasants or lowly bandits they rarely get a chance to shoot anything dead. In this game for NPCs Horse Archery is a means of skirmishing, it's the Lancers who deliver the killing blow in Khergit armies.

A dedicated skirmish command like in some mods would been great in Native but what we have is sort of ok IMHO. Without serious overpowered bows and powerdraw NPC horse archers are not going to get many kills with bows alone. Currently have a warband about twenty strong. Little combat skill, but I've got a lot of Khergit cavalry, some Peasant Girls, some Vaegir recruits, and a Companion.

With a pretty decent Training skill and a lot of raids on Swadian peasants, we're gaining levels well enough. We're sitting on the border between the Khergits and the Swadians; right now I'm mostly preying on peasants traveling to and from Rduna, making use of the nearby Khergit city as a base to retreat to.

Speed, in daylight and on clear ground, hits about 6.1.Thinking of moving up a bit so that a line of trees doesn't sit right between my BO and my targets. I keep running away from Khergit war parties, since they keep passing by in their war against the Vaegirs and I mistake them for being Swadians after my ass. Haven't actually had any Swadians come after me, yet, though, despite Rduna being right by it's associated Castle. On another note, I suck at combat. Plus arrows and bolts are really lethal.Use lances for easy one hit kills on just about anything. Hey all,I started playing Perisno and I choose an elf. I decided to stick to trade for the game. Not having read any guides I see Venetor a lot. From my understanding its a city that gets founded once you complete the Third Legion Outpost quest.

Which is for humans only.SO is it possible to change race to human to complete this? Everytime I run local prices I get Venetor for EVERYTHING and its just killing my experience. I'd rather not restart as a human but at this point it seems I might have to?Also side note, anyone try to make a leafbomb build? Trying to get the understanding of them. Actually I have a few other questions someone might have some input for.

But the title question is the primary one which someone might have suggestion I havn't thought of. You're welcome to comment on any element you wish.ObjectiveI have a rough outline for a new module called Peasant Uprising where you start out as a farmer. Not going to give spoilers on the off chance this module ever sees the light of day. Really tired of the nobility track.

It wouldn't effect the ability to go through the standard nobility track, but would be generally incompatible with the nobility track. The concept is to have a new center type, i.e., refugee camps. With a progression track required to take control. Probably not visible at the start of the game.

But I also want to be able to upgrade these camps into villages, towns, and cities. Even castles that can be upgraded to cities. The problem is the game internally treats these as distinctly different object (troop) types. But in modulegame. Title pretty much sums it up. How do i recoup my losses after I lose a battle? When i'm starting out, it's not that hard to rebuild my armies, but once i hit the points where I'm fielding 100+ man armies it seems to take forever.

Is there some process i'm missing? I just run around to all the villages that like me and recruit volunteers. It might be the fact that I'm playing a 'purist' army so i'm limited to just the villages in my faction.Submitted October 31, 2018 at 03:02PM by shitsmcgee https://ift.tt/2AGdI4R. Hello, i would like some tips on how to undermine a friendly kingdom without damaging my relations with them.To put into context (wall text): im a vassal of Kingdom of Rhodoks, and through the course of 3 months, the war with the Kingdom of Swadia raged on, while we attacked them from the south, the Nords attacked them from the north, the Swadians lost the majority of their territorry, only Praven and a couple castles remain.

We took Uxkhal, while the Nords took Suno and Dhirim, in the following weeks a defensive pact was formed between out two kingdoms. But shortly after, the Nords declared a truce with the Swadians, and turned their eyes east to their war with the Vaegirs. The Vaegirs, who were already getting their asses kicked by the Khanate, lost Rivacheg, Curraw, Reyvadin and several castles to the Nords. (RIP Vaegirs, all they have now is 2 castles and 2 villages). As it stands now, the Kingdom of the Nords controls 8 different cities and almost 1/3 of Calradia. There is no imme. Hey guys I'm in need for some help.I'm left handed and use the arrow keys for movement in MaB but.

There is a problem. The problem is the custom camera in 12th mod. I can't play this mod with the camera constantly moving and would like to avoid to change my keys to maintain my fun at this game.I want to ask if anybody knows how to solve this problem easily. If possible I would like to simply deactivate the custom camera feature but I'm open to other proposals. With kind regards Giedeon25Submitted October 30, 2018 at 02:34PM by Giedeon25 https://ift.tt/2qjVzUd. So I just started playing warsword a few days ago and started as a human in kislev (huge mistake because fuck chaos) and I've managed to take a town and a few villages with the help of some mercenary ogres, thank sigmar for those over powered brutes or I'd be drowning in khorne flakes. I've noticed some new improvement options for villages.

Such as the shrine, an apothecary, and town watch. What are the actual in game effects of these? I've tried looking through the wiki and various message boards but can't seem to find an answer. Any help is appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this.Submitted October 30, 2018 at 08:16AM by Calmdown92 https://ift.tt/2zfT0a0. GOG have 60% off M&B titles right now, and the series is one that I don't know very much about, but I've heard about it a bit and sounds like something I might get really into. That said, where is the best place to start? Should I get the original game first or jump straight into Warband or one of the expansions?

Should I start with the vanilla game, or look at modding from the get go?I'm the sort of person who likes games to be difficult and unforgiving. I enjoy struggling to survive with scarce resources. I adore the combat and mechanics of Dark Souls, the resource and equipment management of Jagged Alliance 2, and the role playing and exploration of Skyrim (but I would never consider playing it without mods again, as it's far too casual for me). The Witcher 3 had a great story, but it was too much of a lootfest and the combat mechanics got a bit stale for me before getting half way through the game.

To get renown? And is there a way to get honor faster? For more details -I've declared my own kingdom, and promptly got my only location taken.

I'm trying to retake it, and defenders sally out to meet me. Fight the good fight, but I can't retreat - if I'm knocked out, or in a corner of the map, it says that I can't retreat, there are enemies too close by.Fight goes on, I lose - it doesn't cut to the defeat screen, just constantly shows the other army cheering. If I try to tab out, it repeats the 'Can't retreat when in a fight' message.Basically, if I try to fight and lose, I have to reset MnB to be able to play again.Submitted October 28, 2018 at 10:52PM by SelkieLove https://ift.tt/2SrVEly. My first play through of TLD has come to an end, while I wish I was victorious, I got far enough to see what I wanted and do plan to start again.First, I'd like to give a quick shout out to the youtuber SurrealBeliefs, as without his let's play series I would never have tried the mod.Having seen a run on the good side, I opted to do an evil campaign.

In almost any mod I play, 90% of the time the main rival of my favorite faction ends up having some sort of cavalry focus. I've just kind of come to hate fighting cav factions, so I knew Rohan needed to die early in. I ended up choosing to be a man of Dunland, a faction I ended up enjoying quite a bit. Their whole thing seems to be about anti-cav. Upgrading a unit to a max tier Wolf Guard provides a side wolf unit in battle that will run about knocking people off their mounts. How does a faction with no archers deal with horse archers? Have these wolves turn them into regular archers.

Dunland however is weak to archer focused. King Cakus is dead. His democracy has survived, however, with the ascension of to president. Though the election has had it's fair share of internal conflicts, the country has managed to just barely escape a civil war.His first test as a ruler will come as a familiar one for veterans of the republic. Long ago the Rhodoks managed to wrestle control of Unuzdaq Castle from the Khergit Khanate, though the castle was wrecked in the process. Ever since the territory has been a near lawless land, a frontier of Rhodok settlers struggling to survive, without support from the goverment since the Vaegirs cut them off at Grunwalder.Help has finally come, though at a cost.

The Khergits have been harassing the Frontiersman there for months, launching constant skirmishes with the militias that guard the settlement. Challenges the Rhodok's right to the land, citing their extreme measures taken in pacifying the remaining tribesman after the battle. The Horse lords have.

I've been experimenting around with the first hundred days of Perisno and wanted to start a discussion on strategy. This mod has a difficult learning curve for the new player and a lot of the decision making early on has increasing impact later on. Character creationNotably, by picking the Bandit/Stealing/Thief background options you can create a starting Looting 10 player character. This is pretty powerful but it leaves your character deficient in charisma, and renders some of the companions who are designed to cover it useless.I think it comes down to an understanding of which skills are useful and which ones aren't. Persuasion - there are very strict, obscure rules for prisoner recruitment and rescue (they're different).

Outlined here:, it's basically worthless. Weapon Mastery - very useful, there's a starting option that gives WM 4, and at day 80 I have 200 proficiency in one-hande. I helped Lady isolla become the queen or swadia and I'm now the marshal. I was managing my fiefs when randomly we went to war with the Vaegirs. Fine, so I run a campaign and round up the lords and go to take a castle. They refuse to join the battle for some reason.

My relations with the lords aren't in the negative and in fact a few are devoted to me.I've tried letting them go home and come back, I go at the castles from different angles. King Harlaus is in real trouble and he needs your help to conquer Sargoth from the Nords. To do this, hes gonna need Swadian Cavalry and a couple of archers.

To help him, all he needs is your credit card number, the three digits on the back, and the expiration month and year. You'll also have to throw a large feast with lots of butter. Hey guys, I've hit a bit of a wall in my TLD game. I've been playing as the Dunlanders and having a blast. Rohan is extinct and the war moved to Gondor. Gondor has lost EVERYTHING, on Dol Amroth remains, their faction strength reached -280 before I ran out of things to fight. No one is sieging Dol Amroth. Isenguard and Morder are at 8000 strength, they're doing nothing.

Umbar and Harad are average, Dunlanders are quite strong, no one it making a move. Dol Amroth had 0 parties going around, every lord is just sitting inside with about 20 men. I thought perhaps that could possible be 'the last' battle of the war, but then wouldn't everyone have made advance camps up in the North?I've left for the North for about 3 hours. Weakend Beornings, Dale and Erobor and keep heading back south to check on things. Gondor eventually regained strength and had some parties going around, took them out, tanked their score again. Still no one laying seige.Am I missing somethi. Why the fuck are castles denfended by 60 rhodok sergeants and 70 sharpshooters in my game.

I am at war with those wretches and I cannot take a single castle from them. I am at day 430 and my only fief is Weyyah castle with 400 troops. 150 of those are veteran footmen which get one shotted with sharpshooters.

I also have 30 Swadian Knighte and 7 Mamlukes but those are too good to risk in sieges. What would you do to get out of this stalemate.

Okay seriously, what the fuck??? Is it just me or is it like super impossible to fight off the guards once youre detected without high athletics to kite them forever.

The weapons you are given are so trash, im 30 str, 10 power strike and these things are only doing 12-16 damage to each guard and this is with like 250 prof in 2 handed and 300 prof in polearm (im not sure which one the scythe uses). Is there a way to change the equipment we bring in because this is insane even with high stats. I 99.9% of the time ride my horse so i dont see the point in investing in athletics just for this and i normally wear the elven shoes with +2 athletics just in case anyway.

Also you always get spawned in between a bunch of them which makes it even harder, like im trying to sneak into Qatetaqa and i get spawned literally in the middle of 3 of them and the one direction i can kite in has two guards already in it, like tf???Submitted October 25, 2018 at 07:12AM by LionDefender https://ift.tt/2D38emT. I wiped out Sarranids, and made my Temudjin Khanate there. In my army I have Khergit Veteran Archers, Sarranid Mamluke, Sarranid Master Archers, Sarranid Guards and Khergit Lancers.

I will conquer filthy european kingdoms: Nords, Rhodoks and Swadians. I want to capture title Khan of Khans by defeating Sanjar Khan. I want to be only descendant of our father Genghis Khan. I will not use any other troop from other culture. One of my ideas is being Khergit and use only archers, no Lancers at all. And train all companions to use bows.

The Last Days of The Third Age is, if not obvious enough by title alone, a modification of M&B and Warband in the setting of the heartland of the Middle Earth, during the war that will se the end of the Third Age and beginning of the Fourth. In this mod, you can play either side. For the Dawn of a New Age (Good), as a man of Gondor ('s various fiefs), Rohan, Vale, Dale or Dunedain (under Imladris); an elf of Mirkwood, Lothlorien or Imladris; or a dwarf of Erebor or Iron Hills (under the banner of Erebor).

Said forces will work together until the annihilation of the evil invaders, at which point the game will end.The Twilight of Man (Evil), though, has two major sides in it, lead by either Sauron or Saruman. These will contend for supremacy over Arda after the free peoples have been subjugated, but will work together until it happens.

Under Sauron you can play as an orc of either Mordor or Dol Gudur; an uruk of Mordor; or an evil man of Rhun, Khand, Harad (and Far Harad), and Um. I can sit there spamming 'EVERYONE HOLD THIS POSITION' 30 fucking times and these fuckers don't fucking listen until they're already half way across the battlefield and have drawn aggro onto my squishies that I'm trying to train.Like literally 30 instances of 'everyone hold this position!'

In the sidebar and they're still hoofing it, literally and figuratively, into the deathball of 40 sea raiders that I'm very studiously trying to round up and get to waste their ammoSubmitted October 22, 2018 at 01:43AM by Perkinz https://ift.tt/2OGXv7O. I found out about the Mount & Blade series when looking for a game that would run on my low-spec computer, that must've been around early 2014 or 2015.I was fascinated by it as soon as I got playing, large scale battles and a fine tuned gameplay, politics. Never seen anyone mentioned this, but the info your companion gather is solid, you get to see if the kingdom is united or falling apart, which lords are ripe for converting, how he feels about his liege. Here are example:.Knowing this, I chose to rebel early from Wercherg, against the Nord (Vaegir was also weak) and avoid Rhodok. When Rhodok declared war, I hunted down his most trusted lords and made their life miserable: Matheas, Reland, Tarchias, ignore the rest.

This is what happened after about 3 months:, 3 vassals defected to Nords. We were at war with all of them but they couldn't do much. Their lords were too weak, too poor and often ignore the marshal.

I think by the end Ragna had a lot of land but hog them all and didn't even name a marshal.Submitted October 21, 2018 at 01:04PM by minhso https://ift.tt/2CYeAUH. Soooo I've been thinking of creating a Dhirim faction with it's own troop tree and lords included which is going to be 'allied' to Swadia from the start of the game. The plan is to have an independant 'Principality of Dhirim' which controls all of its surroundign castles.I managed to create an effective ballanced troop tree which is inspired by Byzantine troops. It's split mainly between Spear and Sword&Bow Infantry branches as well as a Cavalry branch. The only problem I run into is the fact that I still cant mod for shit and, by extension, have absolutly no clue on how to acutally add a new faction. I wanted to know if anyone would be willing to help me make it (if not do that part for me).In any case thank you regardless.Submitted October 21, 2018 at 08:52AM by Picoman1 https://ift.tt/2PbWrIz. So long story short I somehow gained Laria as my city while being under sarleon's banner. Much to my surprise I found a masterwork hawkstorm bow in the chest with a required power draw of 10.

Currently using the emerald rune bow and was wondering if it would be worth getting to power draw 10 and using the hawkstorm or keep with emerald?TL;DR gained laria with power draw 10 masterwork bow, is that better than emerald rune bow in damage?Submitted October 21, 2018 at 01:55AM by Ac1dshadow https://ift.tt/2PLEtcW. But as it is now it's honestly one of my least favorite. It suffers from massive feature bloat and it feels like the author just jumped from feature to feature without polishing anything. By far the worst thing about this mod and the thing that really ruined the ENTIRE experience for me was the perk system. There are only a handful of perks in the game that are influenced by your actions and the rest can just be gained randomly. The negative perks all give HUGE penalties especially my least favorite of them all, incompetent administrator.

This fucking perk is one of the few that isn't random but you're guaranteed to get it every playthrough if you plan on conquering a city that isn't your religion and it comes with huge penalities that guarantees you're not gonna see any population gains until at least a year after you conquer the city if you're lucky. Then there are perks like fat or senile which you just get randomly throughout your playthrough. You can be a.

I don't really know the point of this post is other than to praise this game. It's such a simple concept yet it's kept me hooked since I first bought it yesterday. I'm sitting at work right and all I wanna do is go home and play it. You know it's a good game when it's actively disrupting your life lol.I think this game further proves the notion that games dont require amazing and spectacular graphics to be good. I originally was turned off by this game due to the graphics, it looked to me like a poorly made asset flip. But then I kept hearing about it and seeing it online so I said fuck it I'll give it a shot. I haven't put it down and I'm very happy with my decision to play it.I keep hearing Bannerlord being dubbed 'Mount and Wait' because of how long it's taking.

Either way when/if it comes out I'm absolutely setting aside some money for it, if it's even half as good as Warband I know it'll be money well spent.Submitted.
